After nearly two decades, the family-friendly Astroturf and narrow beds of this generous garden in the Bedford Park Conservation no longer suited the family needs. Recently completed, the re-design included a new limestone terrace, tile end detailing and generous planting. Pairs of ornamental trees lend structure and form. Practical considerations were, as always important – climbing plants will grow and screen the bike storage at the rear. Work was undertaken in sun, rain and snow in March/April 20201 but the new planting is flourishing following wet May and sunny June.
