Following completion of a major retail and residential development the client wanted to soften the hard, monolithic Landscaping of Mercer Walk in favour of a more inviting streetscene that would catch the eye and draw in passers-by. There were many practical limitations including the need to be able to move any installation with ease. We designed a series of Corten steel planters and benches that fit together to form larger installations that can all be lifted and shifted when necessary. Our planting was textured and colourful but also low maintenance.
