We were delighted to collaborate with agency Bureau Betak, developing the planting plan for the production of Sabato De Sarno’s Cruise 2025 in Tate Modern's underground Tanks.

Thousands of ferns and grasses created a botanical tapestry, full of texture and calm, including Pennisetum, Dryopteris, Polystichum, Deschampsia, Adiantum and Blechnum. Speckles of Erigeron dotted throughout provided the only colour in the planting, with pops of white daisies.

It included many pioneer species of trees, shrubs, grasses and ferns. Trees such as Tetradium daniellii, Carpinus betulus, Aesculus parviflora and Acer campestre were used to add structure to the planting.

A close collaboration with Jamie Butterworth's Form Plants and brilliant planting teams alongside Mary Jane Vaughn and her floristry team managing the entire ceiling installation above.

A film of the show is available on the Gucci website.
